Mario Yniguez is a composer, performer, and director currently finishing his degree in Vocal Performance at ASU. His psychedelic rock fusion band, Harrison Fjord (lead vocal/guitar) was recently named best band in Phoenix and this year released a new album entitled Polychrome. In 2017, he won a AriZoni Award for his original music for Orange Theate's Ida. He was the director of an award-winning young men and women's A Capella choir called Sounds of the Mouth for three years. He regularly performs in musicals and theater productions around town. Most recently he played Feste and music-directed/composed for Southwest Shakespeare’s production of Twelfth Night. (Joseph, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Secret Garden, Closer Than Ever). He has placed 1st in the Arizona NATS Musical theater competition four times now and three times in the National Society of Arts and Letters competition.
